How do circularity and bioeconomy go hand in hand? This amongst many other, has been one of the questions to be covered during this year’s BIOTEXFUTURE Forum on July 6th, 2021. With circularity being in the limelight of many research institutions, companies, and individual innovators to find solutions beyond the current take-make-waste system of the industry, we took the opportunity to have a closer look at the topic.
7 distinguished keynote speakers joined forces with BIOTEXFUTURE to present their perspective and efforts towards a circular economy along the textile value chain. A bandwidth of topics from the development of renewable chemicals and materials, recycling solutions, to circular business models were covered by experts from the RWTH Aachen University, nova-Institute, Kiduara, IKEA of Sweden, Pangaia, the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, and The Renewal Workshop.
Almost 400 likeminded people registered from more than 25 different nationalities across the globe and more than 200 dialled into the digitally held forum to learn, engage, and get inspired.
We strongly believe that
COLLABORATION NEEDS TRUST
A COMMON CAUSE NEEDS UNDERSTANDING
A RESEARCH COMMUNITY NEEDS A STRONG NETWORK.
